The sun is shining, you have Door County Coffee Cold Brew in your cup, and a full weekend ahead of you with endless opportunities in Door County. What could be better? While we think every season in Door County is the BEST season (we are a little biased, but can you blame us?!) we know Summer is a fan favorite of people all over the world, and for good reason! We have compiled out Top 5 things to do in Door County this summer, and we want to share them all with you!
1: Enjoy a nice glass of Door County Cold Brew - black, with cream, or made into one of the many drinks we offer and sit out on our awesome patio with friends or family! The Adirondacks are calling your name!
2: Check out Seaquist Orchards, and pick your own cherries, or shop the many offerings they have in their awesome store! We recommend getting a piece of their cherry pie and grabbing a cup of our coffee while you are there and enjoying it out in the sunshine. Door County is one of the few places you get not only your coffee, but your pie to-go too!
3: Hiking in Peninsula State Park is one of the most beautiful things to do in Door County, especially in summer! With the many trails and places to view the beautiful Green Bay, this is a crowd pleaser with people of all ages! Or if you prefer a quieter location, take a hike around Whitefish Dunes State Park! While you are there, you can visit Cave Point County Park to take in the breathtaking views or kayak around the caves, plus it’s only a hop, skip and a jump away from Whitefish!
4: Ride the Washington Island Ferry and check out the Lavender Festival in July! The fragrance alone is enough to draw you in, but the fun keeps you there! Walk around or grab a seat, and take in one of the most beautiful sights you will ever see! You can even grab a cup of our Door County Coffee at the Northport Visitor Center before you hop on board to enjoy on your way across!
5: Lastly, be sure to check out our Drive-In movie! Sky Way Drive in is the perfect way to end any Door County Day. Grab the family and some snacks and take in 2 great movies the family will all enjoy!
While there is plenty to do anywhere in the county, make sure to take some time, slow down and drive up the county and enjoy the beauty that is a Door County Summer.
