The air is getting crisp. The leaves are starting to change. The lattes are getting pumpkin spicy-er….the best time of the year is here and there is just something special about Fall in Door County. It is a common misconception that once Labor Day weekend ends, Door County becomes desolate. In reality, just as many people continue to visit the county because of the unique beauty of Fall here. The winding backroads are painted with leaves of red, gold and orange. The days become shorter, but more beautiful by the minute, and we couldn’t imagine our café being anywhere else. With that being said, we have a made a list of our top 5 reasons to come visit us in Door County during the Fall!

1. Door County Coffee Fall Flavors are available in our cafe.

We offer 7 Fall flavored coffees, that are great for sipping on a chilly Fall morning! Autumn Spice, Door County Maple, Caramel Apple, Cranberry Orange Muffin, Pumpkin Spice, Wisconsin Harvest Blend, and White Chocolate Cinnamon Dolce.

2. Apple orchards and pumpkin patches for the family around every corner.

There are plenty of pumpkin patches and apple orchards located in Door County, along with corn mazes and beautiful photo ops that make for great first dates or family outings.


3. The Winding Road to Gills Rock, Highway 42.

One of Door County’s most iconic roads, if you take State Hwy 42 up toward Gills Rock, the winding road will be sprinkled with beautiful colors and breathtaking views to the tip of the county.

4. Biking and Hiking in the various State Parks.

From Peninsula State Park to White Fish Dunes State Park, there are plenty of hiking and biking trails for you to use and to enjoy the leaves changing up close and personal!

5. Fall Festivals most every weekend.

Almost every weekend in September and October has some sort of Fall Festival somewhere. From Harvest Festival in Sturgeon Bay to Pumpkin Patch Fest in Egg Harbor, they offer fun for all ages!
