Cinna-Bun Coffee Glazed Wings 'n Waffles

"The unexpected coffee flavor in both the wings and the waffles added a unique touch. Although this is the perfect breakfast for dinner dish, it can be served any time of day."
This is a Door County Coffee Fan recipe. It was not made in the kitchens of the Door County Coffee Café.
Ingredients
Featured ingredient: Frosted Cinnamon Buns Coffee 10 oz. Bag Ground
- 1 1/4 cup strong brewed Door County Frosted Cinnamon Buns Coffee (cooled to room temperature)
- 2 tablespoons Door County Frosted Cinnamon Buns Coffee granules
- 2 teaspoons sea salt
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon (divided)
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
- 2 pounds chicken wings (split and tips discarded)
- 2 Tbsp pure olive oil
- 2 Tbsp pure maple syrup (plus extra for drizzling)
- 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg (whisked)
- 3 Tbsp butter (melted)
Instructions
1: Pre-heat oven to 400°F. Line sheet pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil; set aside.
2: In a small food processor or coffee grinder, pulse 2 tablespoons coffee granules, sea salt, paprika, ½ tsp cinnamon and cayenne pepper till finely ground.
3: In a large bowl, rub wings with prepared coffee rub; drizzle with olive oil and maple syrup and toss to coat; spread over prepared sheet pan and bake in pre-heated oven for 45 minutes, turning a couple times throughout cooking process.
4: Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, sugar, baking powder, ½ tsp cinnamon and 1/4 tsp salt; add prepared coffee, egg and butter; whisk till well combined; set aside.
5: Pre-heat waffle iron; pour batter into pre-heated waffle iron and cook till golden; top with baked wings and drizzle with extra maple syrup. Enjoy!
