Frosted Cinnamon Bun Coffee Donuts

This is a Door County Coffee Fan recipe. It was not made in the kitchens of the Door County Coffee Cafe.
Ingredients
Featured ingredient: Frosted Cinnamon Buns Coffee 10 oz. Bag Ground

- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons Door County Frosted Cinnamon Buns Coffee, finely ground*
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- ½ teaspoon ginger
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 tablespoons butter,melted
- 1 tablespoons vanilla extract
- ½ cup butter,melted
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
Instructions
- Heat oven to 350 degrees. Generously spray donut pans with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl combine dry ingredients (including ground coffee).
- In a small bowl combine eggs, milk, butter and vanilla.
- Add egg mixture to flour mixture and stir just until combined.
- Fill donut pans ¾ full and bake for 15-17 minutes. (Toothpick in center of donut should come out clean.) Cool 5 minutes. Invert pan onto baking sheet.(If donuts stick, loosen donuts gently by running a butter knife along outside of donuts or tapping on the bottom of donut pan.)
- Place sugar and cinnamon in a gallon size storage bag. Lightly brush donuts with butter and place them in bag two or three at a time. Shake gently until donuts are covered with sugar. Place donuts on serving plate and enjoy! Makes 12 regular size donuts or 18 mini donuts.
