Old Fashioned Coffee Cocktail

This is a Door County Coffee Fan recipe. It was not made in the kitchens of the Door County Coffee Cafe.
Ingredients
Featured ingredient: Breakfast Blend Coffee 10 oz. Bag Whole Bean
- 1/2 cup Door County Breakfast Blend coffee beans (crushed in mortar and pestle or blender)
- 2 cups agave nectar
- 2 cups water
- 8 cups chilled club soda
- 1 Orange
- Ice Cubes
- 8 shots chilled bourbon (optional)
- 8 shots chilled coffee-flavored liqueur (optional)
Instructions
1. Combine agave nectar and water in saucepan and bring to a boil until agave is dissolved in water (approximately 2 minutes)
2. Remove saucepan from heat and add the crushed coffee beans into the pan and let sit at room temperature for 20 minutes
3. Strain and refrigerate the coffee syrup for 1 hour
4. Fill 8 glasses with ice
5. Add 1/4 coffee syrup to each glass, add a shot of bourbon and a shot of liqueur to each glass (optional)
6. Fill glass to top with club soda
7. Finish with orange wedge
