"When Life Gives You Shandy, Make Margaritas."

A Margarita is a classic cocktail made with tequila, triple sec (orange liqueur), and freshly squeezed lime juice, typically served in a salt-rimmed glass. It's a refreshing and tangy drink perfect for enjoying on a warm day.

We took margaritas to a higher level. Elevating the tanginess with lemon coffee shandy cold brew. The subtle notes of sweetness from the honey rim are a nice touch.

So when you are thirsty and don't know what to make, grab yourself some glasses and whip together these refreshing, tangy, sweet, and salty drinks. If the original flavor, blueberry or strawberry, is in your sight, you will certainly not be disappointed with this fantastic flight.

Blueberry Lemon Cold Brew Shandy

Lemon/Lime Margarita Ingredients: 

  • Honey
  • Coarse salt
  • 2ozs Tequila (silver or blanco)
  • 1oz Triple sec or orange liqueur
  • 1oz Lime juice
  • 1oz Lemon coffee shandy
  • Ice cubes
  • Strawberries
  • Garnishes: lemon slice, lime slice, strawberries, basil, blueberries

Instructions

  1. Dip the rims of the glasses in honey (or rub the rim with a lime wedge). Dip the wet rim into the coarse salt.
  2. Fill a shaker with ice. Add the tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and lemon coffee shandy to the shaker. Pour the liquid into a glass filled with ice, straining the ice in the shaker.

To Make Strawberry Basil Shandy Margarita: Follow steps 1 and 2. Puree fresh strawberries and mix them into the drink. Top with fresh strawberry and basil leaves.

To Make Blueberry Shandy Margarita: Follow steps 1 and 2. (Replace the lemon coffee shandy with blueberry coffee shandy. (Add blueberry juice for a rich, deeper color).

Note: Margarita drinks can also be made frozen. Simply puree the ingredients with ice in a blender.
